We are looking for a creative, passionate public relations professional to join our hard-charging team as an Account Manager working with clients in the ski hardgoods and apparel, and footwear categories.

Job Description: The Account Manager (AM) has at least three (3) years of public relations or journalism experience (general marketing experience will also be considered). The AM serves as a primary client contact, working with agency leadership to develop and execute strategic communications plans. The AM reports directly to the agency principal and is responsible for the daily oversight of two-to-three client accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client contacts
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with key media
  • Develop and execute strategic PR plans that deliver on client goals and objectives
  • Maintain regular client reporting: weekly, monthly and quarterly
  • Regularly pitch client stories to media and follow-up on story opportunities
  • Develop effective press releases and compelling content for clients
  • Create targeted media distribution lists and build new media relationships
  • Monitor for client media coverage
  • Attend tradeshows, sales meetings and in-person media meetings on behalf of clients
  • Keep abreast of each client’s industry, competition and media coverage
  • Have a solid understanding of social media networks and marketing

  • Minimum three (3) years of public relations or journalism experience (candidates with five or more years experience in marketing will also be considered)

Public Relations Contractor-Quebec

We are currently hiring a contract-based public relations professional to manage communications in Quebec for a four-season mountain sports brand, beginning in May 2018. The contractor will work as an extension of the agency, managed by the agency principal, and will execute primarily product-focused media relations activities across the footwear (running, trail running and hiking) and nordic (hardgoods and apparel) categories.

Job Description: The Public Relations Contractor-Quebec will work with a team of brand representatives at the agency to execute strategic communications in Quebec. The PRC-Q will act as the account lead in Quebec, reporting directly to the agency principal.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with client contacts
  • Develop and maintain successful relationships with key media
  • Contribute regional expertise to strategic PR plans that deliver on client goals and objectives
  • Maintain a daily action report that tracks work completed on behalf of the client
  • Provide biweekly coverage updates
  • Regularly pitch client stories to media and follow-up on story opportunities
  • Occasional press release translation

Job Specifications/Qualifications:
For consideration, candidates should possess most of the following skills or traits.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum four (4) years of public relations or journalism experience (candidates with five or more years experience in marketing will also be considered)
  • Track record of successful contract engagements
  • Strong writing skills and proven writing experience
  • Written and verbal proficiency in French and/or Quebec French
  • Strong, established active lifestyle media relationships
  • Established media relationships in Quebec are preferred, but not required
  • Self-directed, yet able to succeed in collaborate environments
  • Strategic and forward-thinking approach to PR
  • Desire to keep learning and advance within the agency
  • Creativity and integrity
  • A love of the outdoors
  • A sense of humor

Compensation:

  • $1,200-1,500/mo. USD, depending on experience
